Buddy Guard is a Christian movie with an edge.
Steven Rike is 5'6" and once dreamed of being in the secret service. Then tragedy struck his family and his marriage is crumbling.
Louis McKenny "Buddy” is a 25 year old, 6'6" man…with the mind of a 7 year old. He is afraid of the dark and needs a friend.
A botched Assassination attempt of a US senator puts Buddy in danger and provides a second chance for Steven. A simple drop off and Steven is in again with the Secret Service. But when the drop off goes wrong Steven and Buddy are forced to hide out together.
Now the two must learn from each other. Steven must overcome his past and Buddy must overcome his fears. Both must turn to God for strength…and must overcome themselves…if they want to survive.
3 Stones Studios Inc, a high definition (HD) Christian production studio based in Colona, IL, announced that Buddy Guard, a full length family movie, completed filming in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri in December, 2007.
David Clevenger, who wrote the script and is directing the film, is an award winning director and recognized internationally. David offered this about the film, “We are producing Buddy Guard to encourage strong families. People who have watched the extended preview movie trailer tell me they laughed, cried and felt uplifted!”
Production began September 2, 2007, in St. Charles, MO. The release date is January 18 2008. Run time: 2 hours.
